FINAL SCORE: Rockets with 87 and Timberwolves with 84

Wow…what a close game and surprise ending!! I was so happy to make it home to catch the last 2 quarters of the game since I have missed out on so many games this season. The Wolves lead 90% of the 2nd half and you could tell the Rockets were tired and the Wolves played great defense. I almost thought it was going to be a loss especially when the Rockets started attempting to shoot 3s and missing 2 in a row. Then at the very end of the 4th quarter, Harden came to save the day making 2 baskets back to back and with 11.7 seconds left in the game, the Rockets knew they were going home with a win tonight!! After their incredible win against the Bulls last night, I could tell all the players were really tired, so I am happy that they pulled out a win tonight.
Top 5 Scorers:
1) Harden: 30pts, 6rbds, 3ast
2) Parsons: 12pts, 6rbds, 5ast
3) Delfino: 11pts, 5rbds, 4ast
4) Asik: 9pts, 17rbds, 0ast
5) Morris and Lin tied with 8pts each
Morris also had 4rbds and 2ast. Lin had 3rbds and 1ast.

Christmas Game: Houston Rockets v. Chicago Bulls!!
Now I missed the Christmas Day game because I was busy with family, but wow…what a win for the Rockets…120 to 97!! Here are some great action packed photos from yesterday and Jeremy looked great out there (despite those ugly uniforms…though they weren’t as bad as the Knicks who looked like glow in the dark pumpkins and the Bulls looked like they got stuck with the only other burnt orange!!)

As http://jeremylinohgodsohot.tumblr.com/ says on her blog, this should be the new NBA logo and I totally agree haha!!

Ugh…so much body contact. This looks painful!

This one is my favorite shot! I love how Jeremy almost looks like a super hero with the ball and the other players seem to be standing in awe of him.

I know…I know…they are probably not really holding hands and the camera just took a picture right when their hands overlapped…but I KNOW all you Lin Ladies had the same thought I did!!!

For a moment…you thought all your fan fiction fantasies had come true and for a second Parsons forgot the spotlight and cameras and all the fans and just wanted to grab Jeremy’s hand and walk across the court with it. They were about to reveal their love to the entire NBA world…until you realized it was the camera angle and your heart sank just a little bit. (I know I am not alone in these thoughts!!)
Great video!! And it really shows what a difference a year makes and who would have thought that the Rockets would have asked him back a year later!!
And just to extend the holiday feeling…here’s the hilarious video of the Rockets trying to sing “The Dreidel Song.” All I know is…they should stick to playing basketball and not attempt a singing career LOL!!
And here’s a great article and video of the Houston Rockets and Jeremy Lin playing “santa” to little children. How can you not love this man?! Ugh…he’s too perfect!!

(thanks to Cath for these links!!)
I know I am a day late but I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas or at least enjoyed the holiday season, even if you don’t celebrate Christmas!! I can’t believe this year will be over soon and that I have made so many good friends through this blog.

Hugs and cheers to all you amazing readers!! Goodnight from NC!!

It is 5:47 a.m. here and I am so happy!
*crawling under my duvet again*
Goodnight!
LOL!!! yes we managed a win!! now go back to bed lady haha!
In TDS (the dream shake) the Rockets fan blog..someone said Lin should learn how to fall cause all his falls look painful and could cause him an unwanted injury; which is true cause the man do fall a lot in all his games…hehe…so happy for their second road win…yays
@Penny…he fell hard in the 4th quarter. Like so hard he layed their for a few sec with his hands covering his face and I was worried for a min that he was really hurt!!
Jeremy didn’t play well vs the Wolfs but he helped save the game in the last few minutes. He got a layup to get even, though his 7th TO Harden got 2 points, and most important, Jeremy’s steal gave Harden the chance to shoot and he got it and the 3 points lead secured Rockets’ win. The Wolves studied Jeremy well and they just barred him from passing (only 1 ast today) and scoring. (only 8 points), Jeremy got to learn from this and find way to break through, otherwise teams will play the same show again and again like MIA did the last season to stop Linsanity – to devastate Jeremy Lin on the court.
BTW, just read the article:
Why Jeremy Lin Has Become the NBA’s Most Polarizing Player
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1457423-why-jeremy-lin-has-become-the-nbas-most-polarizing-player
Totally agree, ic. The team will figure it out.
The officiating also sucked bigtime. Jeremy was not getting the foul calls he should have gotten.
I agree with both of you!! I feel like if the team has a strong defense, whether it’s the TWolves or the Heat, etc…those are the teams that are effective at stopping Jeremy from making his plays. He needs to look at his weak areas and find a way to penetrate teams with a deep defense.
Happy Holidays Everyone!!!
Nice to meet you too AnnaK!
BTW, i noticed that there are no post game interviews? (vs. Bulls and Wolves)
thanks Rubielyn and same to you of course!! and I will look for more videos tomorrow, but as of last night there weren’t that many videos of the game against the TWolves at all…actually the 3 I posted were the only ones I could find. I’m sure there were more of the game against the Bulls since that was a big game. So I’ll post the ones I find for you
